PLAY NICE.
THAT'S IT.
Mizuki is a free, open-source anime player. We don't host anything, we don't track you, and we don't sell anything. These terms exist so the project stays clean and the community stays chill.
LAST UPDATED: JULY 2026
WE HOST NOTHING.
Mizuki does not host, upload, or store any video content. All streams come from third-party extensions you choose to enable.
WE TRACK NOTHING.
No analytics on you, no telemetry, no fingerprinting. Your watch history and settings live on your device and your account only.
IT'S OPEN SOURCE.
Source code is public. Read it, audit it, fork it, run it yourself. Contributions welcome.
HOW STREAMING WORKS
Mizuki works like Aniyomi, Mihon, and other open-source manga/anime readers. The app is a player shell — it loads content from third-party sources through community-maintained extensions. We do not control, endorse, or own any of those sources. Use extensions at your own discretion and only in jurisdictions where it is legal to do so.
SECTION 01
ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By downloading, installing, or running Mizuki, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app. Simple as that.
SECTION 02
NO HOSTED CONTENT
Mizuki is an empty shell. It does not store, host, or transmit any anime, manga, video, subtitle, or image files. All media is fetched on demand from third-party extension sources that you select. We are not responsible for the availability, legality, or quality of content provided by those sources.
SECTION 03
EXTENSIONS & THIRD-PARTY SOURCES
Extensions are community modules that talk to public third-party APIs and websites. We do not operate these sources. The extension model follows the same pattern as Aniyomi, Mihon, Tachiyomi, and similar open-source readers. Any copyright, licensing, or availability questions about content belong to the source site, not Mizuki.
SECTION 04
PERSONAL USE ONLY
Mizuki is provided for personal, non-commercial use. Don't resell it, don't bundle it into a paid product, don't put it behind a paywall. Commercial redistribution is not allowed without explicit permission.
SECTION 05
ACCOUNTS & DATA
If you create an optional account (for watchlist sync, comments, or cosmetics), the only data we store is what you explicitly give us — username, profile photo, your watch progress, and your settings. We never sell, share, or rent your data. No ads, no trackers, no third-party analytics on your identity.
SECTION 06
ACCEPTABLE USE
Don't abuse the service. That means: no spamming comments or chat, no scraping our BFF endpoints at scale, no trying to dump or resell our shop catalog, no exploits, no harassment of other users. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate this.
SECTION 07
NO WARRANTY
Mizuki is provided 'AS IS' without warranty of any kind. We don't guarantee uptime, source availability, or that a specific anime will play. Servers and extension sources can go down at any time. You use the app at your own risk.
SECTION 08
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Mizuki maintainers and contributors are not liable for any damages — direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential — arising from your use of or inability to use the app.
SECTION 09
OPEN SOURCE LICENSE
Mizuki's source code is released under an open-source license. You may read, audit, modify, and self-host it for personal use under the terms of that license. Forks that rebrand and redistribute the app must also remain open and free.
SECTION 10
CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these terms as the project evolves. Material changes will be noted in the changelog and on this page with a new 'last updated' date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Mizuki is built by the community, for the community. If something here is unclear, open an issue on GitHub and we'll fix it.
